But I will say this for it, I have at least one incredibly clear impression of this book. Bibliografische Informationen. The Pigman has a great deal of love for this monkey, as he is one of the few living creatures he can look forward to seeing. He tells a story involving five characters: a husband, a wife, the wife's lover, a boatman, and an assassin. They both come from dysfunctional families and both have an appreciation for the satirical.

John's parents, he reflects, have never been glad to see him. Critics of the book point to the fact that the main characters are accomplished liars and that they cut school, drink, and smoke John. Pignati — lying to him by saying that they were charity workers and taking his money. One of John's lifelong goals is to become an actor, but his father refuses and forces him to be a businessman. Lorraine concludes the chapter by reflecting that they must have looked like the "three funny little monkeys" they saw earlier. The next day, Lorraine and John meet outside, and John tells Lorraine that his father said that he will have to see a psychiatrist.

It was later made into a movie by 20th Century Fox in Young people began to question their parents' values and protested America's involvement in the war in Vietnam. Lorraine and John say they will come the next day to pick up the check. John and Lorraine later find a photo of Gus, who is revealed to be the bankrupt Colonel, Gus being the name of his German Shepherd who finds them at the townhouse and joins the trio. Pignati is chasing John up the stairs, he has a heart attack, and goes to the hospital in an ambulance. They both agree that the man will probably forget about this punishment in a few days.
